1. Playa de Puerto Naos: the reopened Blue Flag beach

Playa de Puerto Naos is fully open. The dark, sparkling volcanic sand is a natural sun terrace, and the water stays at around 19°C to 20°C even in winter.

• Safety first: the village has CO2 monitoring, making it one of the most carefully monitored coastal resorts in the Atlantic.
• The vibe: this is slow travel. Bring a book, rent a sunshade and let the Atlantic do the rest.

2. Avenida Marítima: the heart of village life

On the Avenida Marítima, the cafés and terrazas serve local Malvasía wine and fresh tapas. The promenade is known for its tall palm trees and open views of the horizon.

3. Visiting the Tajogaite volcano
